What
The progress bar in Claude Code's interface can now be drawn in a style called shade, which uses its own fill characters. Before, a progress bar could only be drawn as a pill or as percentage text. The shade style also carries an accessibility label that states the percentage, so tools such as screen readers can announce it.
Why
This is a small change to how progress is displayed.
