Organizations can push managed settings, meaning settings an administrator sets for everyone, to Claude Code. Claude Code first decides whether your login is eligible to receive them. It now checks again when that decision was made before your most recent login and the reason was one of these:
- No login was found.
- Your subscription did not support managed settings.
It retries once for each kind of login and plan tier, and records a note in its log that it is checking again. Claude Code also now starts loading these settings separately during start-up, with its own error message if that fails.
Before, logging in after Claude Code had already decided you were not eligible could leave your organization's managed settings stuck as unavailable. Now a fresh login gets them checked again.
