Unclear Whether pressing Ctrl-D twice still exits Claude Code from an empty bash mode prompt is not known.

What

Bash mode is the input mode where what you type is run directly as a shell command. If you are in bash mode and the input is empty, pressing Ctrl-D now first switches you back to the normal prompt mode, before the usual Ctrl-D handling runs.

Why

Ctrl-D now gives you a quick way out of bash mode, which you may notice when you press it.
