When signing in with your account is blocked, Claude Code used to always say the organisation had turned that sign-in method off and suggest an API key or asking an admin. In one case it now says instead that the subscription can't be used, and suggests paying or renewing, or using an API key. An API key is a secret code that lets Claude Code use your account without signing in. Every other case keeps the old message.
