What
Claude Code limits how large a stream of data can get, where a stream is data that arrives in pieces over time rather than all at once. That check now skips scanning line by line when the limit per event is at least as large as the limit for the whole response. For long lines, it jumps straight to the next line break instead of counting every byte.
Why
This is a speed improvement only. Nothing about what is allowed through changes.
