What
When a file upload in a remote session fails, Claude Code shows Claude a message explaining why. Two of those messages changed:
The message for a file that is too large no longer tells Claude not to try another way, such as sending the content as base64 (a way of writing a file as plain text).
The message for a checksum mismatch now says "A SHA-256 that wasn't computed from the file won't match." instead of "Never guess the SHA-256." A SHA-256 checksum is a fingerprint of a file used to check it arrived intact.
Why
This changes the text Claude reads after a failed upload, and so may change what it tries next.
