What
When messages arrive through a remote connection with files attached, Claude Code downloads those files. Downloads now:
- can ask for a high-resolution copy meant for the model
- can be written to disk when large, instead of being held entirely in memory
- show a notice when the disk is full
A message with more attachments than allowed gets a note saying how many attachments a message can take.
Why
This affects the image quality Claude sees for remote attachments, and makes large downloads less likely to fail by filling memory.
