What
When a command run by the Bash tool takes too long and is moved to the background, the result Claude receives now contains the output read from that background task. The usual check that shortens very large output is skipped for these results.
Alongside this, Bash calls now pass a time limit for subagents (helper agents that Claude starts for parts of a task). Progress updates are only used when a condition on remote calls and a spending cap holds.
Why
Claude now sees what a timed-out command printed rather than losing it once the command moves to the background.
