What
Before running a shell command, Claude Code reads it to work out what it does. Some commands can be misread, so the reading does not match what the shell will actually do. Claude Code already treated several such cases as unreadable. It now adds one more, involving values that start with $.
Why
More commands that Claude Code cannot read reliably will be treated as unreadable. That most likely means you are asked for permission, instead of a command being wrongly allowed to run on its own.
