Unclear Which shell commands this new check affects is not clear.

What

Before Claude runs a shell command, Claude Code reads the command to decide whether it needs your approval. That reader gains a new check on subscripts, the bracketed parts of some shell expressions. When the check fails, the command is marked as unreadable.

Why

Commands Claude Code cannot read may ask for your permission instead of running straight away.
