What

Auto mode is a permission mode where Claude Code decides more permission requests on its own, partly with a check run on the server. Claude Code can now ask whether that server check would decide a request without actually running it. Permission checks now also receive details about the action Claude is trying to take, and a new step tells the permission check whether the server will decide.

Why

This affects how permission prompts are handled in auto mode, because Claude Code can now tell ahead of time whether the server will decide.
