What

When Claude Code syncs files in a workspace, it sends usage data about the sync. That data now includes three new counts, each sent only when it is above zero:

  • linked files
  • files renamed after a link was refused
  • files left under a temporary staging name
Why

The new counts suggest file syncing now handles linked files differently, and these numbers measure how often each case happens.
