System PromptArea: what it touches

Unclear What the new input represents and when it is set.
What
The system prompt is the standing set of instructions Claude Code sends to Claude. Its 'Communicating with the user' section has more than one version. One version tells Claude that its text output is what the user reads between tool calls. A tool call is an action Claude takes, such as running a command or editing a file.
Before, only the model and configuration decided which version Claude got. That choice now also depends on a new input. When that input is set, the version about reading text between tool calls replaces the other one. The CLAUDE_CODE_TURN_UPDATES environment variable works as before.
Why
Some sessions may get different wording in this part of the prompt.
