What

In Cowork, Claude Code fetches memory, meaning saved context it carries between sessions, from elsewhere. It used to hold back requests made early on and track whether things had settled. That holding back is gone. Claude Code now only keeps track of whether the last request went unanswered.

Why

The retry behaviour for these memory fetches is simpler.
