What
Auto mode lets Claude act without asking you each time, within rules you set in your settings. When Claude Code builds its auto mode configuration, the amount of your settings it passes on now depends on the mode:
full: all of your auto mode settings are passed on.
Any other mode except none: only soft_deny and hard_deny are passed on.
none: nothing is passed on, as before.
Previously every mode except none passed on the whole set of settings.
Why
Outside full mode, only your deny rules now carry through, so other auto mode settings you rely on may not apply there.
