What
With agent teams, a lead Claude Code session can start teammates, which are further Claude Code sessions working on the same task. When it starts one, it now passes on the tool limits you gave it on the command line:
Lists of allowed built-in tools are passed on as --tools.
If a deny rule cannot be passed to the teammate without changing it, the teammate is not started at all, with a message saying the teammate would not enforce the rule. Before, teammates received settings such as the model and effort but none of these tool limits.
Why
A teammate can no longer use tools that you told the lead session not to use.
