Unclear What either change does in practice is not known.
What
Two separate changes:
- MCP tools: MCP is a way of connecting Claude Code to outside tools and services. Where Claude Code used an empty list, it now fetches a list of read tools for hidden built-in MCP servers.
- Hooks: hooks are commands you set to run automatically at certain points. A check that treated hooks set to run in PowerShell differently has been removed from how hook commands are classified.
Why
These affect which MCP read tools are available and how PowerShell hooks are handled.
