What
MCP servers are add-ons that give Claude extra tools. Some sessions get MCP servers supplied by Claude Code's cloud service, which holds their sign-in. Before, trying to sign in to one of these started the usual login flow.
Claude Code now shows a message instead. It says the server is provided to the session by Claude Code's cloud service, so it cannot be signed in to from here. It tells you to reconnect the server under Settings → Connectors on claude.ai and then start a new session.
Why
A login that could never succeed is replaced by steps that work.
