What
A cloud session (a Claude Code session running on a remote machine) regularly uploads a record of what happens to the server. Two changes reduce that traffic:
Receipts confirming that messages were processed can now ride along with the regular event upload instead of only being sent separately. If the server refuses them, Claude Code resends the upload without them and stops attaching receipts for the rest of the session.
Repeated notices saying a request was within the rate limit can be dropped before upload.
Both depend on settings the server sends.
Why
Remote sessions make fewer requests and upload less repeated noise.
