What
Claude Code's handling of its built-in browser MCP server (the bundled tool provider that controls a web browser) changed in two ways:
browser_take_screenshot, browser_snapshot and browser_wait_for calls can be judged by auto mode's classifier, the check that decides whether a tool call can run without asking you, when their arguments are all on an allowed list.
In remote sessions, where Claude Code runs on a server rather than on your machine, the answers you give on permission cards are tracked, including answers that set a wildcard rule covering many calls at once.
Why
Remote browsing should ask you for permission less often.
