Internal ChangesSection of the release
What
The version number built into Claude Code moved from 2.1.307 to 2.1.308, and the recorded build time changed with it. The new number shows up wherever Claude Code prints its own version, including:
update messages
the start-up log and mismatch warning for the background process Claude Code can run
the Remote Control banner
the "Recent releases (you are running v...)" line
the health-check text that reports your version
In each of these places only the number is different. No setting, environment variable or message wording changed.
Why
If you see 2.1.308 in these places, that is the only difference. You do not need to change anything or learn anything new because of it.
