What

If you type a message while Claude is still working, Claude Code queues it. Sometimes Claude picks up a queued message part way through what it is doing. Before, a message that was picked up was simply removed from the queue.

Claude Code now remembers a message it picked up this way. If you interrupt Claude within a short time window after that, the message is put back at the front of the queue.

Why

A message you typed is less likely to be lost when you interrupt Claude just after it was picked up.
