What
Claude Code can show clickable links in the terminal, each with a label. A combining mark is a character that attaches itself to the character before it, like an accent. A label that opens with the combining mark used in image cells is now rejected with this error:
"Link label opens with a combining mark that image cells use, which could join the text before it; put a character before the mark"
The check for control characters is still there.
Why
This stops a link label from merging with the text or image just before it on screen.
