What
Claude Code can receive live updates from a server over SSE (server-sent events, a connection where the server keeps sending messages as they happen). That connection now records the server's clock time at the first connect and whether it has connected before. This lets it tell a fresh connection apart from a reconnection.
A second type of connection can now reset the wait it uses before its next retry.
Why
This prepares for handling reconnects in remote sessions, where Claude Code runs somewhere other than your own machine. It does not change anything you can see yet.
