In runner mode, the part of Claude Code that writes its output and error logs can now do so on a separate thread, meaning a parallel line of work inside the program. If that thread cannot start, it writes directly instead and logs a warning.
Why
If whatever is reading the logs stops reading, Claude Code itself is no longer held up waiting on it.
