When a request to switch models cannot finish yet because a decision is still pending, the error Claude Code returns now includes error_code: "verdict_pending". Before, it held only the error type and its message text.
Why
Programs that drive Claude Code through the SDK (the developer kit for controlling Claude Code from code) can now recognise this case by its code instead of reading the message text.
