What

A mod is a package of your own additions that can be shared with others. Before one is shared, Claude Code could already ask whether to scan the folder for keys and tokens. There is now a second version of that question asked inside the chat, under the header Key check: Check the files in this folder and its subfolders for secret keys first? Answering yes covers that folder for the rest of the session, meaning the current run of Claude Code.

  • The main conversation is now told to offer, once, to package a mod.
  • A subagent, which is a helper copy of Claude given a single task, hands a mod back to the main conversation rather than packaging it itself.
  • The author agent in the Claude Test plugin now has a name and a description, and is set to leave out CLAUDE.md project instructions.
Why

These are part of the flow for sharing mods.
