What
Some plugins draw their own interface, and Claude Code passes along presses such as button clicks. A press can now include an optional press_id to identify it. The reply can include the redrawn interface, so the result comes back in one step.
Older Claude Code versions that do not know the new field ignore it.
Why
Plugin authors can update their interface in direct response to a press without a separate follow-up step, and older versions keep working.
