What

When a sign-in is refused, Claude Code now undoes it. It puts back the login details you had before and cancels the refused access token, the credential that sign-in produced. If it cannot confirm the undo worked, it shows "The refused sign-in could not be fully undone" and asks you to sign in again with claude auth login or /login.

Why

A failed or refused sign-in no longer quietly leaves unusable login details behind.
