What
A skill is a set of instructions Claude can load for a task, and a plugin is an add-on that can bring skills into Claude Code. Claude Code can now list the skills that plugins provide, reading each skill's name from its SKILL.md file. When a skill is turned off in your claude.ai skill settings, Claude Code records the synced plugin that provides it as turned off in your local settings.
