What
An MCP server is an outside program that adds tools and other features to Claude Code. Claude Code keeps a saved copy, called a cache, of what each server can do. Before, servers that offered skills were always treated as missing from the cache, so they had to be checked again. Now only servers that offer channels are treated that way.
Why
Servers that offer skills can now be served from the cache instead of being checked again each time.
