What

The login screen used to always show the usual choice of ways to sign in. It now depends on what kind of login is allowed:

  • refused: a notice is shown instead of the login form, and Esc closes it
  • claude.ai only: login is limited to claude.ai, as with forceLoginMethod set to claudeai
  • any method: the usual choice is shown, subject to further checks

At startup, Claude Code can also show a blocked screen when your organization's configuration cannot be loaded.

Why

If your account is managed by an organization, you may now see a refusal notice, a claude.ai-only login or a blocked screen instead of the normal login.
