Unclear In which sessions function hooks are now left out is not stated.

What

A hook is a check or action Claude Code runs at set moments, such as before a tool call. Claude Code has changed how it collects the hooks to run:

  • Hooks defined as functions are now added only in some cases, instead of always.
  • Hooks now record whether they serve the model and when their notice is shown.
  • The check that skips a hook for trust reasons has been rewritten.
Why

This may change which hooks fire and when their notices appear.
