At startup, Claude Code now checks an organisation "ask" state, part of the policy an organisation can apply. While the session runs it keeps watching it. When the state changes, Claude Code reloads its sources of settings and treats the policy settings as changed.
If the state is not settled when Claude Code starts, it logs an error and reads settings according to how it was launched alone.

Policy settings managed by an organisation can now take effect in the middle of a session, without restarting Claude Code.
