MCP servers are add-ons that give Claude Code extra tools. When you turn one on or off and Claude Code cannot find it, it used to report Server not found straight away. Now, for some server names it recognises, it clears related state before reporting the error.
Why
This probably stops a server that no longer exists from staying stuck as disabled.
