What
Claude often wraps short bits of code or text in backticks, which Claude Code shows in a code style. When the text inside backticks is a valid web address, Claude Code now shows it as a hyperlink, a link your terminal can open when clicked.
This does not happen when the address is already inside a link, or when it has been deliberately made unclickable or given other styling.
Why
Addresses that Claude puts in backticks can now be opened directly instead of copied by hand.
