What
Claude Code checks whether it is running under WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux, which runs Linux inside Windows). This check used to look only for the file /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/WSLInterop. It now runs another environment check first, and if that check passes, Claude Code decides it is not under WSL without looking for the file.
Why
This may stop Claude Code from wrongly treating some environments as WSL.
