What
The cache keep-alive settings, which Claude Code receives from its server rather than from you, gain an optional value called inFlightWindowMinutes. It can be anywhere from 1 to 1440 minutes and has no default.
While a run is in progress, Claude Code now uses whichever is longer: activityWindowMinutes (60 minutes by default) or inFlightWindowMinutes. Before this release, only activityWindowMinutes applied.
Why
This lets the keep-alive period stretch to cover long runs. It has no effect until the server sets the value.
