What
Skills are packaged instructions Claude can use for particular tasks. Claude Code has a tool that lists your claude.ai skills. When that list has at least one skill in it, the tool now gives the model a short note together with the results. An empty list is passed on as before.
Why
The model now gets some guidance text alongside the skill list, which can shape how it uses the skills it finds.
