What
Claude Code gives each session (one conversation) a short title automatically. It used to base the title on the latest message you sent, taken from the whole conversation. In some cases it now considers only a selected subset of messages; otherwise it still uses all of them.
Why
This may keep titles in line with what is actually still in the conversation, for example after you resume or rewind a session.
