The system prompt is the set of standing instructions Claude Code gives the model. Its section about the scratchpad now tells the model to write a file's complete absolute path in one piece when it names a file there. An absolute path is the full location of a file, starting from the top of the disk.

File locations in Claude's replies should be complete paths you can use directly, rather than partial ones.
