What
Some MCP servers, add-on programs that give Claude extra tools, need you to sign in, and Claude Code refreshes that sign-in from time to time. In a claude-code-server session, a hosted session that runs without storing files on disk, Claude Code now skips that refresh and logs "claude-code-server session; skipping refresh".
The lock that normally stops two refreshes happening at once is also skipped in these sessions.
Why
Server-hosted sessions no longer compete over the token-refresh lock. Local sessions are unaffected.
