What

Claude Code generates a JSON schema for the bootstrap configuration. A JSON schema is a file that describes which settings exist and what values they accept. That schema changes in two ways:

  • x-whenUnreadable is a new entry. It says what Claude Desktop does when a key holds a value it cannot use.
  • x-readers now lists only the readers that actually read the bootstrap. It used to list every reader.
Why

Administrators who set up Claude Desktop read this schema. They can now see how a bad value is handled, and the list of readers no longer includes programs that never look at the bootstrap.
