What
Claude Code keeps a short, capped list of background tasks (work that runs alongside your main conversation) when it summarises a session. That list is now filtered to certain task types and the task titles are adjusted before display. The kept tasks are sorted as two separate groups, joined one after the other and then cut to the cap. Before, every task was sorted by its ID and the list was simply cut to length.
Why
Because the list has a maximum length, the new filtering and ordering can change which background tasks make it into the list you see.
