What
When you leave a session, Claude Code prints a command you can copy to come back to it later. If the session ran in a worktree (a separate copy of your project folder), the command now includes the worktree, as claude --worktree "name" --resume <id>.
- If the terminal is narrow, it uses the shorter flag form instead.
- If neither fits, it prints plain
claude --resume. - If the worktree's record has been cleared, it adds advice to run the command from that folder.
Why
You get a command that actually returns you to a worktree session instead of one that misses it.

The entry above is what we published on the day. These lines were added later, as Anthropic's own pages caught up, and they sit beside the original rather than replacing it.
Confirmed since
Anthropic's documentation has since written up --resume, on Claude Code changelog.
