What

A tool call is a single action Claude takes, such as running a command or reading a file. When a remote cloud session restarts, Claude Code wakes it and tells Claude which tool calls were lost in the restart. The wording of that note has changed:

  • It can now say the lost calls are no longer shown above in the conversation.
  • A call to a tool Claude Code does not recognise is now described as "another tool".
Why

After a restart, Claude gets a more accurate picture of which earlier actions are missing.
