What
In auto mode, Claude acts without asking you each time, and a separate check decides whether each action is allowed. The instructions for that check, in the part about requests relayed from Slack, gain a paragraph about subagent records. A subagent is a helper Claude starts for part of a task, and its record can carry over your earlier messages from the main conversation. The check is now told:
- carried-over user messages count as your own, and may come before the message that handed the work to the subagent
- a bare yes or no among them answers only the assistant message just before it
- a marker saying turns were trimmed means the record is partial
Why
This changes how the check decides whether you agreed to something when the action happens inside a subagent, so a short yes is not read as approval for more than it answered.
