What

Claude Code keeps counters of lines of code added and removed. These counters are tagged with the model that made the change. That tag is now a normalised form of the model name rather than the raw value.

Why

If you collect these metrics through OpenTelemetry, a standard way of exporting usage measurements, the model label values may differ from before. Dashboards or queries that match on model names may need updating.
