The footer is the status line at the bottom of Claude Code's screen. Its count of background tasks, work that keeps running while you carry on, now adds remote background tasks to the tasks it counted before.
The footer also stops showing the left-arrow hint for agents in some states.
Why
Remote background tasks now show up in the footer count, so the number can be higher than before.
