What

Hooks are commands Claude Code runs automatically at set moments, such as when you submit a message. When a hook run was cancelled but had also asked to stop, Claude Code could treat the turn as blocked or ended. It now checks whether the run was cancelled and gives it a separate cancelled result instead.

Why

This fixes how hook blocks and cancellations interact when you send a message.
